Lieutenant Addison Grant Noble served as a chaplain in the United States Naval Reserve during World War II. He graduated from the Chaplain's School in Williamsburg, Virginia on 28 July 1944 and attended APA School at the Frye Hotel in Seattle, Washington before being assigned to the crew of the USS Eastland in October 1944.
